Anyway, Aus, all you did was shame the driver.

The basic Elises have 1.8 litre Rover K series engines. Most with VVC (like VTEC sort of but referred to as Very Very Complicated). However the 111R has a Toyota's 2ZZ-GE 1.8 litre 4 cylinder 16-valve VVTL-i engine . Here's the specs in comparison to a stock S:
As for shaming the driver I don't think that is the case. We turned right onto a three lane highway with nothing in sight. I was directly behind him and he took the corner fast and gunned it in the middle lane. I was in the inside lane and had to control power to not slide out but once I got straight I floored it up through to 3rd and pulled well ahead of him. But then I've got 214rwKw in this thing so that is definitely an unfair advantage.
Still, nice to wave the S2000 flag in the face of a British invasion.
straight line claimed by manufacturer:
0-60 mph 4.9 sec
0.-100 kmh 5.2 sec
141kw @ 7800rpm (vs 176 kw @ 8200)
189nm @ 6800rpm (vs 208 nm @ 7500)
860kg (vs 1259kg)
6.1kg/kw (vs 7.2 kg/kw)
I think a german mag clocked 0-100 kmh at 5.3 sec
In theory, it should be 1 second quicker than S2k.
It defintely "feels" significantly quicker than my old S2k, leaps and bounds better for in-gear acceleration.
