Too Much Drag

If you drive with the gas cap off, it makes more power because more oxygen is getting into the gas. When the cap is on, the vacuum starves the gas of oxygen. More oxygen = more power.

You should also route a hose from the exhaust pipe to the gas tank so that it pushes the gas into the engine faster. Also, splice in a tube that leads to the cabin, press recirculate and close the windows.

but seriously, when you take out the engine it creates LESS drag than closing the gas cap.

what we down here in texas is run that exhaust into the cockpit

it saves tons o money on beer

Route the exhaust from your header back into your intake It acts like a natural turbo

Why not take off your wheels? I am sure you will get more power and not to mention the torque.
