How does the body look, around wheel wells, rocker panels, & pillar? Any bubbling paint?

Bottom photo left side. The frame is rusted through in several places. The round holes are for water drainage. That has rusted from the outside (irregular shape holes). Heavy road salt driving.

Pass and keep looking regardless of cosmetic beauty.

something's fishy on this one. i've had my nose deep in many winter driven S2000s here in the heavily salted midwest and i have never seen an S with that bad of aluminum oxidation.
this car must have spent some time on the bonneville salt flats or something. did he use ocean water to wash the car?

I was thinking the same thing but on closer inspection I believe those marks are just water droplets. But If I'm mistaken, then I agree with you.

Perhaps the car was in a flood at some point?

My 04 is completely clean underneath, and has been a FL car its whole life.

I must add that I daily my S even in the NorthEast winter and it doesn't look like that underneath. But then again I have the undercarriage steam cleaned after each winter.

Wow...my 02 has lived in humid S Florida, just a handful of miles from the Atlantic, all its life. Its undercarriage looks brand new. The last picture above gives me the willies...I'd run away from that one and let it becomes someone else's headache in a few years.

Id look for something else.. I spent about 8 months in canada, back then I had a speed 3 that I actually drove there for the time being and when I got back to Florida the underside of my car had rust, most of the bolts and some parts of the frame started to rust and that was one Canadian winter. When I installed my Turbo back exhaust I had to get replacement bolts because most of them just snapped lol.. Just kind of a headache so just keep looking!
