Default Took me 8 years to decide...

...that I'm keeping my S. Every year I look/drive other cars and think it's time for a change and every year I come home with the same car.

Hard to put a finger on what exactly it is, but I must love all the pros and cons of this car.

I haven't posted in a long time so I just wanted to drop a note.

Regards,

Jon

Its a car that many people think is brand new, when it's discontinued!

I don't think I could ever get rid of my S. I love it too much.

On a somewhat related note, a good friend of mine just picked up a new 370z so I got a chance to take it for a spin. I had previously driven the 350 but unfortunately it was auto...so anyways, after taking the 370 for a quick drive through the twisties behind my house what struck me right away was how terrible the transmission felt, the linkage felt loose and the input through the gears as well as clutch just felt mediocre, I expected better, I suppose. I'm not bashing the car entirely because it's a great car, a little overpriced but great, nonetheless. All I can say is that quick little drive further reaffirmed how much I love my S for its road handling prowess and overall feel.

I explain it to others as the "S" is like a go kart and when you start driving other cars they "FEEL" Heavy and slow to respond compared to the "S" even if some of the other cars are faster in acceleration the "S" just still feels better!
To me you have to double or triple the price to have a more fun car than the S as in a used NSX or a 997 .

having owned 24 cars since 1994 i usually do not keep anything for long at all, had some for less than 6 months. My leases are 12 to 18 months. The S i have had 6 years now.
