I don't look at my S as being "parked for the winter". It's just parked, waiting for the next nice day. That way I don't have to deal with the thought of not driving it for 4 months.
But since you live in the land of the Royal Mounties, it may be more difficult to convince your mind that a nice day will come anytime soon!
