Default Took the S to a Car Wash yesterday

against my better judgement (it was 70 out, i was on my way to the golf course, the top was down, the S had some dirt, I need a quick solution).

To make a long story short, the track they put your car on to pull it through the car wash, ripped the side strake completely off my S (after I noticed the side strake was missing, the guy had to go inside the car wash and pick my side strake off of the floor) . Then the idiot tried to start the car 5 times without knowing about the start button (that would be no big deal to me if I had not told him 5 minutes before how to start the car back up).

I will never, ever take my S to an automated car wash.

Take care.

Ya should have known better than to take it to an automatic car wash. No one touches my car but me.

It's a matter of appreciation as to whether you take your car to the car wash or do it yourself. IMO, a person that apprciates and value's their S will do it themselves.

Isn't a car wash going to damage the convertible top?

it's not that bad...you jsut have to scope out the thing. Make sure that there is nothing to rip off any parts of your car, heheh. I mean I use as much TLC as the next person when it comes to the S, but sometimes, I need a quick solution as he/she said. Automated sometimes is good enough to tide it over until the next hand washing.

automatic washes are great, especially if you like huge scrape marks on your wheels.
