Default Top blocking rear visibility? anyone else?

I'm noticing that when I drive with the top up, the rear view mirror picks up the roof edge right above the glass window causing me to get maybe 3 -4 cars visibility behind me. Now, I'm only 5'9", and I do have my seat slightly reclined also. It seems I have to move my head forward a little and then I can get better rearward visibility. I've messed around with my seat position and angle and can't seem to fix this. It seems as if the roofline or my rearview are off by 1". It would be great if the roofline could be raised by 1" or my rearview dropped 1/2" or 1" to give me a better straightline view out the back (so that I have a better view seeing black and white sedans speeding up behind me).

It would seem that people taller than me would get even worse visibility. (yeah, I would drive with the top down all the time... but let's be realistic.)

anyone else annoyed by this?

You do realize that the rear-view mirror is adjustable
Most people adjust the mirror to get a better view instead of adjusting the seat.

-get a hard top
-keep the top down
-get a wink mirror
-mod your top
-sit on phone books

I just drove my friends S2K today ... I know it's a rolling blind spot but damn... I didn't think it was that bad.
Stop hunkering down in the seat like your preparing for a driveby and you should be just fine.

i dont think the issues is that hes slouching, its that he HAS to slouch to see out of the rear view mirror... right?

Who said having a plastic (larger) rear window didn't have its advantages?

Well I'm 6'1" and have no problem with the rearview except that it tends to move ever so slightly over time.

My problem is the driver's side A pillar and the bar along the top of the windscreen block my view. The top of the windscreen prevents me from observing traffic lights and the A-pillar blocks my view when I'm on the twisties.

So I need to bob and weave my head to see around these things while driving.

Add to this the soft-top blindspots...
