top down and a bee stung me
Yesterday I was driving through town with the girlfriend and we were going around 20 mph or so on a city boulevard, and I heard some buzzing near my ear and it sounded like a bee so I kinda swatted at my ear. The sound stopped for a second and then the buzzing returned. Then the bee decided to fly into my ear and crawl in my ear canal. By now I was freaking out and I jammed my finger in my ear to get the bee out. I crushed the bee in my ear and dug it out of my ear canal, but the stupid thing already got its stinger into me. I am not alergic to bee's, but it HURT. My gf doesn't know how to drive a manual, so I had to wimper home in pain.
I got home and took some pain medicine and benedryl and slept for 2 hours. My ear didn't bother me anymore last night after that, but today its kind of tingling still.
Bee's and convertable's don't get along.

Crashed a sport bike on the Angeles Forest Highway a few years back. Cause of accident noted on CHP Report; "bee strike". Wore a neoprene Vela Clava after that. As for the eart thing...well my brother in law and my sister live in Kona Hawaii. He wakes up one night in agonizing pain in his ear. She's rushes him to the hospital and they pull out a cockroach that had found a nice spot to "nest"
I take it the stinger wasn't still stuck in your ear. The last time I was stung on my middle finger when I was 9, it blew up like a balloon and I couldn't bend it much. Gave me the perfect excuse to go around giving people the bird.
