Top Down Music
I'm into progressive rock, so it's a constant stream of:
Yes
Nektar
ELP
Pink Floyd
Genesis (70's incarnation)
PFM
Camel
Always have CD's with me, the upgraded stereo was perhaps the most important mod for me.

well for me I only listen to three genres of music for top down driving.....
Techno/Trance....I'm black and very young (26)...... and this throws people for a loop something fierce.
Jazz....the real stuff...Chick corea, Herbie Hancock....Miles Davis....etc....
Neo Soul- Jill Scott, Donnie, India Arie, etc.....
that's it.....

I hear ya, brother! I'm young as well, and love the "rhythum" tracks - mostly hip hop, though. However if you look at an earlier post, I love the techno / house tracks. Also, I will frequent Louie, Miles, Herbie, a lot of the smooth hits... and if this throws people with the music I choose, I'm white! I used to DJ in some hip hop / dance clubs where I began the love for the "good stuff."

Doesn't anyone else listen to smooth jazz?
Paul Hardcastle, Peter White, Paul Taylor, Steve Cole, Jimmy Sommers, Richard Elliot, etc....?
I also like to listen to- Cult, Pink Floyd, Phil Collins, Eagles, Clapton.
Older hip-hop like- L.O.N.S, Pharcyde, Tribe Called Quest.
I even also like to listen to Country music at times- Brooks&Dunn, George Strait, Alan Jackson, etc..
And I love to listen to House music especially at night!
I like all types of music as you can see. Every kind of music will fit a certain mood of driving.
But my favorite music is: "9000rpms" by artist: "Honda VTEC" featuring "Spugen"

When I see someone with their top down imposing loud music on the world I always hope they'll be playing something that's crud (I see the chances are good). I don't want to hear one of my favorites because I'd hate to see my taste in music become linked with being an inconsiderate assh#le. Headphones.
From Evanescence... to kenny g.... to Phantom of the Opera.... to Crazytown.... to Goo goo dolls... to Enya.... to Moby... to 80's music.... 70's music... to Athenaeum... to Devision... to Linkin Park.... to lots of homemade mixes... to..... whatever!!
Just NO COUNTRY!!!
(to each his/her own!!)
