There are two times I drive with the top up - heavy rain (enough to get me wet inside the car at 55MPH) and when my wife is in the passenger seat and we're going someplace her hair needs to "look good". I tell her to just tell people her hairdresser is "topless" - that should shut them up .

Otherwise, always down, from the time it comes out of the garage in mid march until it goes back in in December. I LOVE the looks I get when I drive top down on the freeway and it's 20 degrees out! Besides that wakes me up on the way to work.

Top up when it's ~95 deg or over. By that point, it defeats the purpose of driving top down. To me, driving a convertible is about pleasure. I hate sitting at a stoplight with noxious fumes, sweating like a pig, back of my t-shirt sticking to the black leather seats, cursing, etc. No thanks.....AC and top up at that point for me.

If it isn't raining, my top is down no matter how hot it is. I just turn the air conditioner on and feel fine. The air conditioner does the same amount of work whether the top is up or down, so I'm not really wasting energy.

A year ago when I drove through the Salton Sea area the temperature was around 110 degrees. The air conditioner was the only thing that saved me. I'm too stubborn to put the top up.

Top is always down, temps of 100 don't happen too often around here.

down...unless it rains.

I'm very disappointed that when it rains, I get wet with the top down no matter how fast I go. With my old Miata, I used to drive top down through severe thunderstorms without getting wet.

Down. Even at night. Even when it's colder than 55 degrees. If I wanted a coupe, I would have gotten something else.
