i find that i enjoy the car (always top down, unless i get caught by surprise rain) top down. i had always kept the windows down too, until i recently found that in cool weather the windows up do seem to keep the car warmer. i still prefer windows down...
do you windows up or down?

During the cold winter months (hehe) I run with the top down and the windows up. With the addition of Rick's aero screen, it's almost like having a targa top.

I set the heater on full, put the air on super crotch heating mode and drive.

This was a trip I took yesterday with Bud (STOOK) and his charming daughter Lindsey and a friend of mine (Debbie) though Decker Canyon to Pacific Coast Highway. About 200 tortuous twisties which we negotiated mostly above 45 mph. Very scary! As you can see from the pics, I was windows up and Bud was windows down. The temperature was probably in the high 80's, but I found it a lot cooler in the cabin with the windows up.

Normally, I drive windows up on the freeways, and down driving locally - unless it gets really cold; then, I crank up the windows and heater until the cabin gets warm as toast. Thank goodness for Rick's screen!

I prefer top down all the time with the windows down. If it is cold, the windows go up, and with Rick's Aeroscreen, the heater doesn't need to go on until temp in 40s or so or on long night trips. Many times I am surprised at how cold it is outside because the heater is off and it feels very cold outside the car when I get out to walk the rest of way to work.

If its below 60 the top is down and the heater is up. Ricks screen is great and when the head rests show up that should reduce the cold air flow to 0

top down all the time for me, but the windows stay up for highway driving adn when its cold. the heater is great, and with my 1st gen Mingster Aeroscreen, the cabin stays pretty warm. Of oocurse when its warmer out, the windows come down. I really like the fact that the sound level also drops alot with the windows up so the stereo, even as anemic that it is, sounds much better.

Last night I was 'driving' through snow/ice home. I live down a 2 mile country lane. I had to let the idle pull the car along as event at 5 mph I was sliding off.

It was about -7 C and all was quiet.

With the silence, crisp air, snow covering - It was magical.

I dropped the roof and windows and just enjoyed the ride.

However, I put them up after a mile.

Later, I was passed by a cyclist doing a carzy 8 or 9 mph. He was a little smug but he actually fell off going around a corner (I kid you not!).

I had to laugh.

Still - Probably the 1st time an S2000 has been thrashed by a cyclist!

Happy New Year,
Simon.

If it's cold I keep the drivers window down and put up the right hand window. Try it if you have LHD.

When the weather is marginal and the top is down, the windows are usually up. My wife puts her's up quite a lot when she ridesa with me.
