Damn, did your top get slashed in DAVIS?

I've always felt safe around here. Which neighborhood are you in? Downtown or East?

I'm curious too. Apartment complex? I went to school at Davis and still have a few friends there. I've been thinking about going back to visit lately but I've been nervous about taking the S. My ex girlfriend's Integra got jacked in Davis in the Summer of 2001. I'm guessing thieves from Sac view Davis as easy pickings. This was at an apartment right near the freeway in South Davis. Avalon, I believe.

OP, sorry to hear about your top and your detector. I'm glad they didn't get your seats. (I assuming you have seat locks.)

it was in downtown Davis.

anyways, finally got a chance to talk to the adjuster who is scheduling someone to come out at my home location to do the assessment.

She told me that if I went with OEM, there is a depreciation fee or something (betterment fee) but if I go with aftermarket, there wouldn't be any additional cost to me. I told them that my top was in excellent shape before this happen as the dealership replaced it a year and half ago (warrenty work).

I guess right now i have to wait and talk to the adjuster when he does the assessment. Need to find a shop. Looks like they will coming to my place instead of a shop so thats good.

looks like this place is all sold out. Time to look else where. Looks like hardtopguy.com has a few in stock for 3300 shipped, kind of steep. Any other place you guys can think of?

i think i have decided to let insurance take care of the soft top and will purchase a hardtop shortly.

If I go aftermarket...would it look different? or would it just be the fabric that is different.

I'll find out tomorrow when the adjuster comes and tell me my option and how much it would cost extra if I went with OEM.

Hello! Sorry to hear about your soft top. But i just wanted to ask, if you purchased your hardtop, wouldn't it be unable to be retracted down like a soft-top? which means it will be 24/7/365 on, unless you removed it on your own?
