Sorry to hear that man. I had something similar happen to me about 5 years ago with my Subaru. Some kids who were on summer break from school had nothing better to do so they went through the parking lot at my apartment complex keying up cars and slashing tires.

I hope there is a special place in hell for those vandals to burn.

At first I thought they were, but a ton of raggedy cars were also hit. It was quite sickening to walk through the lot and find nearly every car vandalized in some shape or form. We have a gravel lot in the back of the complex where overflow parks, and they got hit the worst. Someone sprayed down the trunks of the cars as they walked through the lot.

Most of the cars with new looking tires got slashed, but for some reason mine were left alone. Our landlord is in the process of installing a gate at each entrance.

Whatever happened to "Never fcking with a man's car"?

My parents drilled that into my head ever since I was in middle school. I'm sure they were jealous teenagers driving POS cars/no car. Kids like that deserve months of jail time. They contribute nothing good to society.

Man that sucks, I feel for you, I've had a car keyed before. Made me so freakin angry.

I'd get in contact with your apartment managers and demand better security for your cars. eg. Motion lights, Alarms, Gates, Camera and signs indicating that cameras are installed. You might need to get a petition from the other residents, but most of them would sign after 15 cars got hit.

It's different if the car is on the street, in your apartment complex there should be a higher level of safety.

Sorry to diverge a bit from the vandalism, but I noticed in your last picture how your passenger door sticks out ever so slightly and doesn't sit flush. My door keeps doing this too! I've tried to adjust the catch, but it just slides back to the poorly-fitted position. Have you had any experience solving this at all?

I was thinking maybe the backing plate for the catch is broken? It bugs the hell out of me.

Oh yah, and vandals can burn in hell too.
