Is it the 'turbo dave' vid? I think he passes 2 semi-trucks? I have gone 140mph, top down, 40 deg, colder then hell, when I shifted into 6th the S was not going to accelerate at all, I think you would have to be FI to top out, and even then prob need a hill so it does not take forever.

153 was my highest as well, I think the guy in that video was going downhill and was modified and/or had an aftermarket final gear that affected the speedo. (Am I right about that?)

 

I have gone 150mph in my 00 with the top up.

 

long time ago when my cousin bought his 00 GPW s2k, he got up to 160 or so but he said it took a while. remember, just because it says 160 mph on teh speedo doesn't mean that is true. at speeds over 100 mph, there is an small error that can give you false speeds.

I got to 143 before my car felt like it was gonna fall apart. Do your cars shake that much too. Either cause it's a conv. or do you think it's my tires being worn out? Just wanted to ask, to see if it was just me.
