Hell Car And Driver and Road and Track both state the 2003 ap1 will go 160+ and I'll bet the ap2 will go 160.

i'm sure if you were in an ap2 going downhill you could hit 155 and be limited by drag... .... you ass...

my point was the same as i stated above. the ap2's gearing limitation is about 151mph in 6th gear. redline 6th gear gives you 151. how does it get to 155 without driving off a cliff? lol

Having 4.44s, 275/40/17s, and over 400 hp, I was able to hit 156 mph very quickly racing with the top down. Beware, high speeds with the top down can result in severe ear pain and damage.
I am considering the Mazda 3.636 gears that allow a gear limited top end of 199mph with only 9200 rpm.
The true benefit is cruising at 70 mph while turning only 3000 rpm.

IIRC, the AP2 is redlined(8000rpm) limited to app. 151mph, but don't forget the rev limit is 8200rpm, so 156mph is possible.

Although I'm more than certain that "I" wouldn't want to be in an S2000 at ~200 mph.
It "would" be interesting to see what kind of fuel economy you could get out of that gearing.

Drive Safe,
