Default Top speed run

I apologize if this is a repost, but I can't believe this speed. 280 kmh (~175 mph) is fast. Notice the tach bouncing into the rev limiter.

that's the infamous turbo dave video. however, he was NOT FI. he was n/a. he had a couple bolt ons, but the main reason he was able to reach the top speed (and go beyond the drag limited 155+/-) was because he was going down a slight hill at the end.

this shows the top speed of an ap1 that has enough power to get it there, is about 175mph. in stock form, though, it's only going to get between 150-160 or so, drag limited.

Yes to everything except the 175mph -- the car's gearing does not allow anything over 165 (that's redline in 6th). The rest is speedo error.

with somthing like a yellow box it would be possible to get the speedo to read higher than the actual speed.

Unless my GPS was off by the same ammount, my Speedo was pretty much spot-on to 138. Not sure after that, it was as high as it got on that run.

Closed course of course.

I disagree. friend of mine has done 168mph in his FI'd S2000 verified by GPS. the speedo was reading 171mph. only 3mph off. he was just a tad below redline. there is tire flex that you are not accounting for. a simple math calculator will not be able to pinpoint the exact mph.
