Is it better to have the top up or down when racing. I remember a while back, a guy told me its better to race with top down. What do you guys think?

 

What are you talking about specifically? Racing where? There are no sanctioned racing organizations which allow soft tops.

 

If yo uare out cruising the highwaay looking for a race then have your top up. There is just less drag.

 

topup, topdown.. just win it.

 

I like it down...nice breeze with it down.

 

Aerodynamically, top up would be the smarter of the two choices as there is much less drag.

The max speed top down is only ~150mph where as max speed top up is ~168mph. Pretty significant difference considering what we're talking about.

 

Why do all the Option videos of time attack runs consist of the drivers going top down?
