Top won't go down
First off, my car is not a daily driver and occasionally sits in my garage for a week or two between outings
My car spent many months during the summer and fall with the top down, never putting it up once. Recently it sat for a week in my garage with the top up. I drove a few miles this morning, leaving the top up, and parked it for a few hours, in the nice California sunshine. When I was ready to leave, I unlatched the two windshield latches to put the top down, turned the key on, hit the ROOF button on the console and nothing.
Okay, fine, I drive it back home with the top up. Then I decided to check the fuse box for a blown fuse. That was interesting, since the fuse box just above the clutch pedal doesn't have a roof motor fuse. Time to get the owner's manual out.
After discovering two more fuse boxes in the engine compartment I decided that the S2000 has more fuses and any other car I can remember. I finally found the two 20A fuses for the left and right top motors in the fuse box near the battery and both looked fine. I pulled them both to look closer then put them back.
No obvious blown fuses anywhere. After closing up everything I tried retracting the top again and it went down just like it always has.
Have any of the rest of you experienced convertible tops that temporarily wouldn't go down on your S2000?
