Default Towing the S2k

In the front and rear bumber, should there be a ring already in there for towing or is it in the tire changing gear?

(I don't have my owners manual and the search engine is pretty useless).

Thanks

Have a look in your tire changing equipment tray. You'll see the tow ring in the styrofoam. Pull of the tow hook cap and you'll see that's where the ring screws in.

BTW, the car is not supposed to be "towed" by the ring. That ring is only to haul it up onto a flatbed.

Yeah, the tow hook supplied with the car is not very strong. I could see it snapping off if you tried to use it to pull the car up a steep ramp.

The idea is really to have something for towing the car out of sand or a snow bank or something like that. (Or something to use to quickly tow you back to the paddock if you stop running out on a racetrack.) A tow truck should have better options for hooking directly into the frame.

If you track the car and/or expect you may have more than the normal demands on the tow hook, the tow hooks made by TC Designs are pretty nice. Spendy, though, for something you hope not to ever use.

It should only be used to extract the car when you get mired in mud or gravel at a race track.

My bad! Worth quoting again.
