Default Track Day question

I'm thinking of taking the car (AP2) to the race track. What is the best way to store a pair of stock 17 inch rear rims (with tires already mounted)? Will both rims fit in the trunk or is putting them in the passenger seat a better option? Thanks!

One in the trunk (you will have to remove the tools/toolholder from the bottom of the trunk) and one in the passenger seat. You only need to be able to transport two wheels/tires?

You could pick up a small trailer and a trailer hitch as well. I see tons of guys with s2ks/miatas towing their tires to the track. Plus this way you will avoin any damage that may occur when you put the wheels on your seat. Ive never done it, but I cant imagine it helps seat wear.

I think someone is selling their Chase Race hitch (best removable option) in the R&C subforum. I think they might have a "Tire Tail" to go with it.

Um, why do you only need to transport 2 wheels?

I'm planning on taking a drifting class using the S. I'm thinking I don't want to use the rear tires driven on the track to drive home. That seems like a good idea. Thanks for the responses so far! This is a completely stock car too.

Okay, then one in the trunk and one in the passenger seat. Leave the spare tire and tool kit at home (but bring tools and or a jack and wrench).

And a drift day is not a track day

I've come to the conclusion it would have to be a "racing" compact jack? Will that fit in the trunk? I've already got the torque wrench, which I'm assuming is 80ft-lbs for the lugnuts?

Thanks for the "correction" I'll take note of it next time
