most likely still talking about the S-02s. but i posted what i did earlier because i actually had Potenza RE960AS before, which are all seasons

damn haha, where do you live? i live in the DC area and my RE960AS never lost traction due to cold, and only barely lost traction twice due to rain. i drove it hard in the cold, and sometimes drove hard in the rain just to test them.

I had to use 2nd gear to start using WS-50 Blizzaks on the sheets of ice we got in the Midwest today....

haha, i didn't mention that i never drove in icy conditions. by cold weather, i meant cold wet or dry (not icy) weather

It's basically 1st to 2nd where this serious loss of tracion occurs. What I should have asked was what RPM do you usually shift at when leaving 1st gear?

It depends on if the tires/road are cold, wet, dusty, snowy, how old the tires are, etc.
