Does it only feel upset when you jerk-shift your car?
Hey, I like that term. For example:

He came in to the corner way too friggin' hot, jerk shifted it and spun it into the mountain side

if this occurs at any period above 4500 i would definitely say this is not normal rwd behavior. that would be quite unsafe if your rear end wiggled everytime you shifted >4500rpm.

did this happen before you replaced the tires as well?

Also, what kind of tires do you have on the car? Are you sure the rears are on the rear and not on the front?

You just need to learn to match revs between the engine and the gear you are going to be in. That should take care of most of your reported symptoms. The rest of the problem is probably due to the uneven tire wear.

uneven tires definately. you are genrally suposed to replace both rears or both fronts at the same time. not side to side. get new tires

i have the same problem, but assume its from the unmatched tires and uneven tire wear as installed by my dealer

its okay, new "real" full set of tires on in a few weeks, and im hoping to correct the problem.

It is due to the tire size difference, which is the same reason the tire pressure thing happens... with different pressures, come different sizes... with more wear on one side than the other, it'll certainly pull, even with the same tire pressure.

Counter productive, and basically a bandaid, but run 5-8lbs more tire pressure in the old tire than you run in the new tire... it might counter the size difference, and change the 'pull' effect...

I have the same wiggling issue on my car under hard acceleration/high rpm shifts. The car will shift from side to side and it's quite frightening at times!

No idea what it is, my rear tires have equal wear and they're inflated to the same manufacturer recommended psi.

I honestly think it must be the tire brand. On my last set of rears i never had this issue near as badly, even when the tires were worn right down to 0%. My current rears have as least 50% left and they cause the car to wiggle pretty severely.
