Default The Trade!

Hey everyone, went to Muirfield to watch the practice round of the Memorial Golf Tournament Wednesday and it cost me $6,000! I stopped by Honda East after we left Muirfield to look at my daughter's Pilot she just purchased and they had an '04 Silverstone (my favorite color) that had not been sold, setting on the showroom floor.
They have 2 '05 Silverstones on the lot so they had a big "Priced Reduced" sticker on the windshield of the '04. Well the next thing I know, I'm taking it for a test drive. Mind you, I just purchased the '03 last August as a used car with 17k miles, Honda Certified, and almost new Goodyear F1's for $23,239. I put about 5k miles on my New Formula Red '03 since then.
When I returned from the test drive I parked the '04 beside my '03 just to see how much different they were. To the novice they will not appear that different but to an S2K owner there is a huge difference! The '04 is a lot more aggresive looking. I found it hard to believe that there was that much of a difference. The 17" wheels and meatier tires really sold me. The headlights and taillights are much cooler and the larger oval exhausts and new front and rear facias make the car so much meaner. It was almost like comparing the '01 Miata I used to own to the '03 S2K, there is that much difference IMO. The test drive didn't reveal a lot because at 192 miles on the odometer I couldn't get into V-Tech territory but I'm sure I won't be disappointed. Needless to say after an hour of haggling they gave me $23,000 for my car (I drove it 9 months and lost $239!) and took $4,290 off the price of the '04. I asked what kind of a discount I could get on an '05 and they told me no more than $2,000, so although I was a little apprehensive (pre buyers remorse), I took the deal on the '04. and I am glad I did!. I love this car!!!!

Congrats! Honda East as in Honda East Toledo in Ohio? If so, I bought my 600RR from them last summer and may be buying another 600RR from them soon.

Honda East in Columbus Ohio. Bought it from Tammy, who is a friend of my daughters and is normally the Internet salesperson but dealt on the sales floor with us since she knew us. Sweet girl who worked hard to get us into the '04.

It seems that the 04 is also better on the wet, so that may be another plus. And you certainly got a great deal on it. Congratulazioni!
Tonino.

So the price on the '04 was $29k? Very nice.

Let us know what you think after driving it while. In my experience, the cosmetic changes were the least of what was done for the AP2 cars.

Maybe you should have tried VTEC, it just feels ALOT more exciting in an 03 IMO.
