Thumbs up Trade In Civic For S2k Or Wait For Next Gen?

Hows it going. I don't own an S2k but I've always wanted one; I'm partial to the AP2. The S2k appeals to my love of 2dr, N/A, RWD madness.

Recently I purchased a 2007 Civic Si and realized that for the same price I could've bought a used AP2. I've done some thinking and I cannot decide whether or not it would be smart to try and trade in my Civic for a used S2k. I am fully aware that I would be seven different kinds of upside down on how much I would owe. Knowing this I am still considering it because the S2k won't live past '08 and I've afraid Honda will botch the replacement. Should I wait to see what Honda's replacement for the S2k will be or should I get a used AP2 now? Any suggestions or thought would really help, thanks!

Keep the Civic. It's not like you're planning on buying a new S2000 anyway, so who cares what the '08 or beyond looks like? You'll still be able to get a lightly used S2000 three years from now for about the same price as today.

That's a really good point; I can't afford a brand new S2k (hence the Si) so waiting to see what the future holds would hurt. I could definitely wait a while and look into 06-07 AP2's instead of 04-05's. Great advice, thanks!

How much are you willing to loose with the SI and how much? Do you have NAV and what color?

If I were you I'd keep the Si. It's a nice car and has more room .

I sold my 240 once I got my Si, so unfortunately I don't have another car to use :/

I'm willing to lose a lot with my Si. If I were to get an S2k I would hold onto it for a long time. My car doesn't have NAV; the color is Fiji Blue Pearl. Don't get me wrong the FG2 Si is a great car I've just always wanted an S2k.

Believe me I've thought about that a lot. In hindsight it's easy to say "should've, could've, would've". At the time I was thinking "I can't afford a brand new S2k...". For some reason I wasn't considering a used one. But you live and learn
