So my buddie wants his S2K gone! he's going on a big road trip for bmx and wants to basically pay for the trip with the car. he wanted 10,500 for an 03 with 120,000 miles completly stock with new tires..

So i call him up with an offer,,, my xB custom plus $2000.

the B has

full 2.5" exhaust w/ hushpower resonator, Injen Short Ram intake, staggered sportmax 962s in gunmetal finish.

8.5 with a 2 " lip

9.5 with a 3.5" lip

Full Ksport Pro coilovers 36 way adjustable dampening system cranked LLOOOOWWWW. ( front sits 4.5" off ground, the back is about 8")

My question is would you do this trade. he wants the xB plus $4000. NOT SO SURE IF I SHOULD??? help!

 

Act like you don't really care and stick to your guns on the $2000,,,,,,He's the one that needs the money not you.

i agree. however, i would never drive an xB so they only way i would take one in a trade was if it was an extremely good deal and i knew i could sell it right away!

Doesnt sound like a good deal to me... too many miles... unless your xB is not in great condition.

But why would he trade if he needs the money to fund his trip?

Personally, I would have restated my asking price of $10,500. With or without the xB on the table.

 

1) We have not idea what our xB is worth w/o mileage and MY.
2) The amount of cash you put on top of your xB is largely dependent on if your friend wants your xB or not. If he has no interest in driving a xB and is only in it for the spare money then you probably won't be able to talk him down further. However, if he is interested in a modded xB THEN you can talk about true market value of the two cars. Otherwise, the discussion about "good deal or not" is moot.
