I shipped my S from Boston to san francisco last july. I used Intercity lines. It's a closed carrier. The car went on first and came off last, so it was never moved. They delivered the car right on time, without a scratch. Well worth the $1800

My buddy shipped his soob from ny to ca via DAS. his car showed up 4 weeks later--more than two weeks after it was supposed to arrive.

Before I got my S, I had a 2005 BMW Brand new shipped from CA on an open carrier. I was a bit dirty from the dust, but no scratches or any other problem.
