I have shipped a car before, the only thing I tell you is make sure you are a stickler when they check you car before shipping and make sure you look it over vary good before taking delivery of it.

I got screwed over by a company shipping my car from Seattle into Calgary -- make sure you do your research on the company (check with the Better Business Bureau).

Your safest choice would be a covered carrier. A couple that get good reviews from customers are here:

the one I would use:

http://www.intercitylines.com/

another I've read good things about:

http://www.horselesscarriage.com/

There are others but these 2 are a start.

use intercity. I've used them before. I put my RX-7 FD on their truck. They were mad cause it wasn't washed first because they cover the whole car in plastic. On the same truck was a real Shelby Cobra, some Ferrari one off race car, and a bulletproof Rolls Royce. They will treat your car like it's a jewel. It took them over an hour just to load it onto the truck.

One other time I used a cheaper carrier didn't use a covered trailer. They scratched my bumper all up and wouldn't pay for it.

My buddy sent his on another, cheaper carrier. They put his car on backwards and at 80mph his trunk popped open and flipped over against the hood and did $2K damage and they wouldn't pay since it was a 'car defect'.

you get what you pay for.
