Trashing new s2000
Hey guyz,
For anyone who' live in the Marietta,Georgia area, there was a brand new Yellow s2k I saw about 30 min ago, a young woman looked in her 20's tried to race me I didn't in my prelude, but I was
because she was at redline
several times and it had a dealer's tag on it. That's the exact one Im about to buy and she obviously doesn't understand the word breakin.
THough I would share,

I'm not sure what the problem is of redlining w/ dealer tags on. I redline regularly and I still have dealer tags (and 3000+ miles). It sounds like you thought she was on a test drive, but wouldn't a salesperson be with her if that were the case?
I guess I don't know how it works in Georgia, but here in California, you drive the car home with the same dealer plates it had on it at the dealer (basically just an advertisement).
I would be surprised to hear that a dealer is giving un-chaperoned test drives. My wife never even got to ride in the car until after I took delivery because the salespeople insisted on being in the car (and she can't drive a stick).

Wow, the dealers in Texas must be trustworthy! I didn't get to test drive my S before I bought it either. Actually, I went to the dealership with the intent of buying the car regardless of a test drive. Also, during the first year on the market, many California dealers (Bay Area at least) wouldn't allow test drives.
Maybe FstONE meant "dealer license plates" and not "dealer advertising plates" when he stated "dealer tags". In California, and other states I'm sure, dealer license plates are used when a car is taken for a test drive and/or when the car is driven home by a dealership employee (a "demo" car). These plates usually read "DLR" with some numbers.

I have test driven a couple of S's. On my last one, the salesman took me for a ride literally around the block, then pulled back into the dealer, and got out. He let my friend and I take it out, obviously unchaperoned(sp?).
