Default IS it true, Silver with Blue for 2003?

My dealer just told me on Saturday that part of the 2003 line will include a silver exterior and blue leather s2000. I'm interested in buying a new 2002 in silver and red or black which ever I can get faster. But I might wait for silver and blue.

I very much doubt 2003 specs have been decided upon yet.

I also doubt that AHC has decided what they want from Honda.

BUT - it is odd that a dealer would tell you that.
He certainly lacks the motivation to lie. In fact - the other way would make sense. If you wanted silver/blue and he knew that silver/blue wouldn't be available until next year it would be in his best interest to lie and say no silver/blue. Right? Sales guys like to sell the cars they have today - not the cars that they'll have in 1 year.

Good gosh we just got past the 2002 rumors and already the 2003 rumors are starting.

Hey, I heard that Honda was going to stop building the S2000 after 2002.

Yeah, me too.

I guess the typical rumours will be coming out soon enough about the 2003's like:

I hear that they will have the orange car available.

The new 2.2L engine will pump out ...

heh heh just thought I'd add fuel to the fire.

Unless you can't afford to buy one until a year from now, I would suggest you buy a silver/black and see if you can find someone with a blue car to swap interiors. It would be a lot of work, but would be better than waiting a whole year (it was hard enough waiting 4 months, a year would drive me crazy).

As far as the dealer knowing what color combinations there going to have in 2003, most don't even know what they have for 2002.
