Trying to buy an S2000
Hellow S2000 world
new here. Always dreamed of S2K and now ready to buy. Tried multiple and I think I like ap2 dbw. 2006 or 2007 in white color. I’m able to spend a bit and would like to buy lowest miles. It seems like white ones with low miles are more expensive and there are very few of them. Right now near my house there is one in great shape and 31k miles but they want 28.6k
thats a lot for 10 years old car. In fact you can get brand new Mazda x-5 for this money or multiple different used Porshaels. I guess I’m just complaining. Kbb says car like this should be 22-24
what is going on? By they way I’m in CA. I’m affraid to buy from opposite coast without personally driving a car.

There ain't many out there and they are pretty! The color chart posted here in the forum indicates there were only about 1,200 white cars imported in 2006 or later. 2006+ cars remain the most desired to me because they can be easily tuned without recourse to a dyno and aftermarket ECU. Peak power gains quite a bit but more importantly is the gain in mid-range power. Transformed my car '06. When I was shopping for a S2000 three summers ago color was not even on my priority list. Condition and mileage trumps everything.

When I was searching for my AP2 I was looking for Black or Red or Blue and ended up with an '06 GPW, guess I was in the right place at the right time because white was not on my list. $28K would be a great deal on the car you mention if it was listed in Canada.
Good luck in your search.

California cars can be very desirable because there should be no corrosion issues; no winter and no salt. Stock, well maintained low mile cars demand the top dollar. If you like it, get it.
I got my 05' bone stock for 28k here in CA, SSM which is the most common color but it came with an OEM hardtop and clocked in at 18.4k miles. No ragretz here, love the car. I always wanted a white one as well but like everyone says there's an extra premium for that color. I say pull the trigger if you have the means to, it's hard to find low mileage once let alone a GPW

Well, I ended up buying it. I'm so exited. Apparently they only 556 worldwide in white body and red/black combo. Only about 182 were sold in US and I happened to love this combination. Oh well. Everyone thank you.
