I'ver always had the symptoms of the TSB, but I've learned to live with it by changing my driving style. But I was wondering if any Canadian Owners had this problem fixed. I tried talking to Honda but they said that the American car and Canadian car- highly doubtful. If anyone has had it done could you tell me what you said to Honda to get it fixed.

I have had the fix done, both 053 and 054 and the seatbelt.
I had always complained about the 1-2 grind and the dealer did that fix based on that. for the clutch I called and stated that there was too much noise in 2 and 3 when at 3-4k rpm

There are Canadian Campaigns for both cars.

If your dealer does give you a hassle, call Honda @ 1-888-946-6329 and let them know, they will pass the info to the dealer.

If you still have problems, let me know and I will get you the part #'s and the Campaign Number for you (I have to dig up the invoice)

Also If the dealer is stupid enough to think that there is that much of a difference between the 2 cars (US and CAN)... they should not be servicing the vehicle IMHO.

I haven't done any of the TSB's. I have only received one notice from honda, and that is for the seatbelt. I talked it over with the dealership service manager, and he told me of a few things to look out for. I do not beleive at this point I am going to jump and get the seatbelt fixed. Safety is important, but I feel I am not having any problems. As far as the clutch, no issue on this. The 1-2 grind, only when cold, but works slick when warmed up. I have noticed a bit of a clunk, when sitting at a light in neutral, and moving in to first gear. Is it doing any harm? I do not know. My 02.

I have had 'a grinding noise' shifting from 1st to 2nd two times now. Both times were when I was 'rushing' the shift, and I think that it was me coming off of the clutch too soon (ie, before I was fully into 2nd). Is this what the TSB refers to or is it my crappy shifting? Just wondering.
P.S. Go Canada

Skikzo, would it be too much trouble to dig those campaign numbers up?..I have a noisy clutch and I've talked to the GM of the service dept before but he said he's never even heard of problems like that with our cars. He may be telling the truth or he may be blowing smoke. I dunno, the thing I do know though is I want to get the TSB done if possible..thx
