The cost all depends on what you buy to tune with. Of course to get the absolute best results you would want an EMS, but those are pretty expensive. Most people wanting to get a small amount of power use a VAFC, but then again you might not gain much since you have an 03, and I don't know what supporting mods you have.

Do you have any engine/performance mods done?

Also there are a lot of different options you can choose from, here are the basic ones:

VAFC (probably won't add much power to your 03)
Kpro
AEM EMS
Greddy E-Manage (most people wouldnt recommend this since it is hard to tune)
Haltec 500 (this is a newer unit, but seems to work pretty well and is a decent price)

suzuka-blue-s2k you are lighting up these forums i see you posting all over the place thanks for all the info. what do you mean by 03 not gaining much since the 02-03 already have better tuning?

No problem. Yes 02-03's run leaner than 00-01's, and usually dyno around 10hp higher for that reason. Then again that is why 00-01's may react better to bolt ons and a tune compared to the 02-03. I have seen a few people that made power with a few bolt ons and a VAFC, but not to much. I have also seen people that didn't make any gains whatsoever b/c the were already running lean with all of their bolt ons, and needed to add fuel which the VAFC can't do much for that.

I would definetly recommend an AEM, Haltec, or Kpro for the best results. Then again you want to make sure you find someone that has experience tuning with these EMS's. What you should do is go around to your local tuners and see what they would be comfortable tuning, and that would give you the best results.

^ So you don't even have to get it dyno tuned then ehh? I know all cars are different and it would be best to get it tuned specifically for your car for the best results. Has anyone else have experience with it?
