Default Is tuning required or worth it?

My plan is to get Invidia Q300, Berk HFC, and maybe K&N FPK and headers.
I would also dyno the car b4 and after.
Is tuning required or even worth it?
This set up might cost around $1400.

we have no idea anything about your car other than your badge says 100k+ club. You might want to update your info so we can see what year your car is.

It's pointless to dyno tune your car before putting on the modifications.. Before you dyno your car.. Make sure it has the parts you want on it because switching anything out will throw off your tune.. But dyno tuning is not needed.. But it would help it run as best as it possibly can.. And before you dyno.. Always remember to do a complete tune up (spark plugs, clean or replace air filter, oil, tranny and diff flush) it isn't required.. But I have always liked to do so.. Hope that helped..

Well the reason I want to dyno the car b4 I put the aftermarket junk in it, is because I want to see if I gain any HP after putting the new parts. How else would I know if my hard earned money went to waste or not?

Yes - a baseline is always a good idea.

Lol must be nice having money to blow, I guess I can see where your coming from.. But name brand parts (aem, dc, toda, j's, ect) you get what you pay for.. But I would just use they money you were going to use to dyno it (stock) and put it towards wheels, suspension, exterior mods.. Ect I think an s2000 with name brand intake, headers, and exhaust is plenty of power to road race, daily drive and mess around.. If you are looking to drag race.. Save up thousands to get some high compression all motor set up, or low compression turbo set up..

A few pulls on a dyno isn't very expensive and worth the investment. A local shop charges $30 for 3 pulls.

You probably won't need a tune, but it would help. Might get a little bit more out of it, if you can find a good tune shop.

I have the K&N FIPK and the Invidia Q300 (just installed both 2 weeks ago) and the car runs great. Butt dyno shows definite improvement in lower end pull and throttle responsiveness. I didn't go with an HFC or TP, but may do one down the road.

I'd be interested to see what gains you got as I have a near similar setup.
