This may be old news, so don't rip me apart on this one.
But I ran into these pictures, and am wondering who did this, and what the results were?

A few months ago, there was a report on this one in Import Tuner magazine. They projected something like 400hp, yet it was more than just bolt-ons. They took the compression down to 9.5:1 if I remember correctly, yet they haven't reached their goal. Nice idea though, but an expensive route. I'll wait till its proven after a few years.

Import Tuner's [summarized] article can be found on the web at: http://www.gr8ride.com/cgi-bin/pm/common/feature.jsp?channel=Internationa l&community=Asian&oid=102304://http://www.gr8ride.com/cgi-bin/pm/c...sian&oid=102304://http://www.gr8ride.com/cgi-bin/pm/c...sian&oid=102304.

I know, I know. I can clearly see that SpeedOptions was involved in the car buildup, but I was wondering is any big companies were investing time, resources into it. Maybe trying to develop a bolt-on turbo.

So the results were negative?

Looks impressive though!

Quite some time ago I found this turbo S2000 at an Auto Salon in Sydney Australia.

This was a JDM S2000 imported to Aus so it had 11.7:1 compression. At this stage there were no modifications to the head or block. It was running about 6lbs of boost, and a Motec or similar ECU.

It was getting 350hp at the crank.

The company who were doing the work are BD4's and are the local HKS dealers. They were talking about a $AUD5K HKS turbo kit which was in the works. Still haven't seen hide nor hair of it though.
