Moving to S2000 Talk. This topic deals with perceived "value" and not to do with mechanical issues or installation.

Give us more info as to what the kit includes. Is there any tuning involved by them. wastegate, BOV, size and brand of turbo, intercooler, what kind of piggy back ecu, manifold design are all important pieces.

Sounds just like the Ultimate Racing kit. $6400-7500 installed is probably about right if high quality parts are used and some tuning is performed.

I wouldn't want it tuned with a piggy back though..

that sounds about right...

here is a kit that has yet to be released:

http://www.revhard.com/newprojects/s2000.html

but the kit alone is probably over 4k.

while you should get some more details about what he is using to tune it..

on a stock block, with stock injectors; I wouldn't run over 5-7psi.

on a stock block, with larger injectors; I wouldn't run over 9-10psi..

this is assumed to be tuned with some form of engine managment.

Now a manifold like this one is going to be a bit more pricey:

I won't give my opinion of a price, but I have a good idea of the time involved...

depending on how much time they are going to spend tuning it, and what they are tuning it with, their experience level, etc... it could take hours of dyno time to tune it.

dyno time is usually around 100-120 / hr.

i like the oil filter relocation on the revhard kit. makes a lot more room for the turbo.
