I believe that turbocharger systems are at their best when they're custom made. If anyone is really interested, I can give suggestions as to turbo sizes, requirements, etc.

Say a reputable company like HKS came out with a bolt on Turbo w/intercooler, bov, guages, piping, etc. Would someone pay $6k for such a kit?

If HKS, Apex, GReddy, or the like came out w/ a complete turbocharger system, I would heavily consider buying one.

No, you wouldn't... unless the Comptech supercharger was a roots-type blower. Then the S2K would have tons of low end power and a turbocharger to keep up w/ the top end. I have a feeling that this will never happen though.

Since we're on the subject, as soon as mine is done, if there is enough interest, the shop that's doing the work on my car has agreed to produce multiple 'kits'. It would be complete with manifold and fuel management and should be in the 320 RWHP range at 6 PSI. I'm sure with that being said some of the other boards members will chime in here and tell you how it's not possible to get that hp with only 6 psi. I intend no disrespect to any of those board members as I have learned alot here and respect everyone's opinion. However, the shop that I use specializes in custom turbo applications and I'm hoping we'll have everything done and dynoed by early August. The kit will be of high quality and should produce significantly better results (performance wise) than the SC'ed' cars. I won't have any info regarding possible pricing until we're done but it will be more expensive than a Comptech SC kit. My initial guess would be in the $7-$8K neighborhood.

I want more information, please! What housing and impellar sizes are you using for the turbine and compressor? What is the exhaust manifold made of, stainless steel or cast iron? What wastegate is being used? What angle does the wastegate come off the manifold and where on the manifold is it located? Does it route the exhaust back in to the down pipe? What is the diameter of the downpipe? What is the charge piping made of and what is the diameter before and after the intercooler. Speaking of intercoolers, what brand are you using and what are the dimensions? Stuff like that would be great to know! Thanks.
