What!!!! Wastegate on the downpipe??? I've never heard of such a thing, nor I cannot comprehend how that would even work.. please enlighten me.

With this manifold you'd have to cut a hole where the two runners meet at the turbo (collector) and make a tube running up from there and mount the wastegate on top of the manifold.

Guys, here is a trick that I learned a long time ago... Many turbo kit builders don't take advantage of the exhaust port that is located on the exhaust housing of a garrett turbo... Many manufactures mount the wastegate on the manifold for ease. It can also be placed next to the downpipe where the exhaust flows out... If you look a the picture of the exhaust turbo housing on the turbo that I'm using, there is another hole made just for the wastegate to vent out excess gas before it reaches the turbine. That's why I don't have a place for the wastegate on the manifold that I designed...

turbo, and yea, pump gas. You can even run 8psi with pump gas.

im saving up for a dyno tune, so i can get full power outta 6psi, shooting for 300rwhp or maybe even more.

"8 psi at 35-40 degrees of ignition, pump gas, and 11:1 compression ratio" is what the dictionary says under "ragged edge". (but that's where peak power is made! )
