i was wondering.... is it possible to turn aluminum blue like titanium?

reason i ask is i want to turn an aluminum shift knob blue. can i just take it to like a muffler shop (while geting my exhaust done) and have them blast it with the torch til it turns blue? if thats possible....

I dont think aluminum works the same way as ti. Most colored aluminum products I have seen are anodized, the others are painted.

I did a google search on heating / heat treating / and coloring of Al and there was nothing I could find on changing the color with heat.
