Is this typical for a s2k?

Well test drove an 08' with 7,087 miles on it and it ran so much better than the previous one mentioned. The car didn't shutter, and felt more responsive.
Ended up getting it for $26.8k!

It's nicer.. 1 owner and not a lease return like the other one.
The both were at the dealers..
the 17.9k one had scratches and the front bumper had alot of scrapes. This one actually had a "American Racing Products etc whatever it is strut tower on it ricer". Pretty sure this car was modded and returned to stock before lease return..
The 26.8k one was mint, not a scratch and a 1 owner car. Engine response was alot better. You'd have to test drive both to say it was well worth the extra 10k.

I'm not trying to hate but 27k is A LOT for an S these days, regardless of condition. Honestly, I would return the car if the dealer has a 5 day return policy like some do. You can find an immaculate AP 2 for thousands less than what you paid, just keep your eyes peeled and check the Marketplace forum here for well taken care of cars by folks who know them inside and out.
Check the battery, if its at startup... My car would do that too turns out to be the battery didnt have enought voltage to juice up the motor at start up...
Got a new battery and it went away...
4 yr old battery could be going out...

I recall most 4 cylinder hondas with an old batteries having this issue, and as 04S2kSS stated...got new battery and it went away.
Except for the '85 CRX Si....that car would stall in the dead of summer and the A/C on, probably had the idle set too low.
OP, its normal.

I agree with the battery being weak.
The only other option may be a a/c compressor clutch going bad and getting too grabby, that will only affect the car when the a/c is on but I am not sure if the car will compensate for the extra drag by telling it to give it more gas.
