I hit went over something on the 60 freeway today while changing lanes(maybe a bump? dunno it was just strange as HELL)), then my car started to steer very fast!...towards the center divider, and eventually I hit it and my car spun maybe 3 times, and each time I hit the wall again and again, ONLY going like 70 Mph. Later my car ended up in the shoulder of the center divider. I'm not injured and I hit nobody else(thank God.) But 5 minutes later, a Jeep Grand Cheroke comes by and also spins out and hits the same center divider I hit, but few meters away.

I hope the body shop will total my car(they said they will try their best to do it for me).

I no longer want the S anymore, I think i'm going to buy a used GS400 or 6 speed BMW 540i.

OMG!!! Thank goodness you are alright! That really sucks!

Sad to hear you are not going to get another S2000. . .

You know, looking at the photos a little more, it's great to see how well the car held up in this type of accident!

Did you find out the object that caused your car as well as the Jeep to lose control?

Sorry about your crash. I'm glad you OK.

I wrote off my previous black s2k in a similar but more serious impact. That is into a very sharp building corner. It literally cut the car down the middle. I walked away with a cracked sternum. The safety of this car is very impressive.

Looking at your pics I guess it's pretty safe to call it a write off.

If you think about it, add up the replacement cost for the following:

radiator
bonnet
side panels
transmission
HID lights
bumper
tires
wheels?
suspension components
airbox
engine? it could be cracked mine was
airbags
many other bits and pieces

total cost = lots of money

I was actually thinking the same thing. Glad to hear you're ok. Sorry about the car though, makes me sad seeing an S in that kind of shape...

Sorry to hear about that.... jeeze that looks nasty, glad you weren't hurt!

That certainly looks like it's totalled to me.... much worse damage at the front than to mine and that was totalled (I had quite a bit of rear damage as well though) but my air bags didn't deploy.
