Default UGH remote not working....

I have the dealer installed OEM alarm, that has the regular keyless entry remote. Car is barely a few months old.

Was sitting in the car about 40 minutes on a phone conversation, car turned off, key in ignition.

GOt out, press the lock button nothing happens. Trunk button, nothing. Unlock nothing.

Had to use the key to lock the door, which honked the horn and I guess activated the alarm.

What am I missing here?

Car has an appointment at dealer tomorrow for a squeeky roof and new OEM front bumper lip spoiler installed.

Do I need the dealers help on the remote too?

wow..talk about a bad day.

So after the remote wasn't working, I locked it with the key, which triggered my alarm.

LO AND BEHOLD..after work, remote still not working. So had to use key to unclock.

HORNS ON..ALL LIGHTS TRIGGERED...IN THE UNDERGROUND PARKING LOT..so embarrasing..people thinking I broke into my own car.

Sigh..get in...car doesn't start..alarm blaring....

Get out..lock the door, nothing happens...still alarm blaring..

after 15 mintues of this...I start pressing all buttons and suddenly the trunk popped...meaning the car remote was working.

And then the car started..

WOAH..what an ordeal

check the connections to the alarm under your seat...
mine got loose and the remote would not work after changing batteries, etc.
as soon as i got the connections replugged, all was well-

Does the light on the remote light up? If not, it's a battery connection problem inside of the remote. Been there, done that (after dropping the remote)

Otherwise, the problem is elsewhere...
