UK Alignment specs

I went to UK specs right after I bought my car. With my driving style, I get pretty even wear. My cornering speeds wear the outside about as much as the camber wears the inside.

IMO the car feels a little more planted than with the US specs.

I will only get 10K on the rears, at least double that on the fronts.

I'm still not happy with the initial turn in on the car, but that may be the OEM tires combined with the dead feeling steering.

How can you determine that the car feels more planted then US spec, if you went UK specs right after you bought the car ?

"Right after" is relative. I drove the car for a month before I took it to a competent alignment shop (not a dealer).

I got a UK spec alignment about a month ago.

The car is MUCH more stable in turns now. Before, it never really took a firm "set". The car always felt uneasy and "busy". Now it just hunkers down and waits for you to make a control input. Very nice...

Straight line stability has decreased significantly. It's certainly not an issue, but the car wanders everywhere on the road. I chalk that up to the -2 degrees camber in the rear. It's worth it for the improved cornering behavior.

I've autocrossed twice since the alignment and I've found that I can apply power much sooner in turns. The car reaches that magical 6 or 7 degree chassis slip angle and just stays there. Before, the rear wasn't much involved in the turn, with understeer occuring on power application. It will still understeer, but only if you tell it to
