Some advantages of buying in the UK, have been the safety recall notices and the gifts with them.

Hmmm, and nice chocs they are too! Fortunately I've already booked for an 18,000 mile service and clutch fix so the recall is no real problem.

However, what's the tranny fix?

As for MIRA, I haven't done it myself but some friends have. It's all (s)low speed stuff but a real hoot (just a tad expensive at

Gd et-al, this was the second safety recall through Honda UK, as their letter states, no-one has had the official recall in the UK for the Transmission, I'm assuming Tuney had his rectified under a complaint, I'm not sure that I believe him when he said he got a FREE Honda Civic .

Interesting when you read the letter, a small no. of cases have been reported in Europe, but none, to date, in the UK. When you read on, it must be because where just not hot / humid enough!!

''The seatbelt G-sensor is designed to lock in hard acceleration / braking, or if the car is parked on an acute incline, if the seat belt is pulled when locked, the actuator is held in the locked position under tension. If left in this position in a high temp. or humid environment for several hours, the plastic actuator could become deformed. If this does occur the seatbelt will remain locked.''

Doing mine while waiting for a new wing / headlamp to arrive .
