It's on page 5 of the OEM alarm install instructions from Honda. The OEM hoodswitch is separate and has it's own installation instructions.

http://www.handa-accessories.com/S20...0security5.pdf

EDIT: Dealers have been known to install non-OEM alarms before on new cars before sale. Aftermarket alarms plus install can have a higher markup charged at time of sale. They will claim it's due to insurance saying they have to install them in order to keep the car parked on the lot. I do not believe this is the case. At any rate I passed on 2 S2000's when I got mine becuase dealers had installed non-OEM alarms on them and wanted to charge an additional fee over sticker. When they said they had to install them, I told them fine I'm not paying for it take it off. I was bluffing to make a point, didn't really want a new car with holes drilled in it. They said they would deactivate them. Anyway I passed a couple times because this was unacceptable on a new car to me.

Some previous owner probably had their 8500 hardwired in your car.

like said 1000 times already, its part of the dealer installed, optional Honda alarm. You should have a seperate HONDA Alarm manual that describes all functionality. The button is used tor valet mode, to enable/disable light flashing/honking when arming/disarming alarm. Also, if you need to start the car with the original key & fob, and not one of the two new keys & fob that operate the alarm as well, you can start the car and push the button to disable the alarm.

does it cut the revs down in valet mode? I'd like to have something like that. The old ZR1 corvettes used to have that. A valet key cut the HP down by 100 hp or so.

don't think so. you can get the modifry shift beeper that has a valet mode. It will record highest RPM so you can see if the valet flogged the car.. it can also be set to play a very annoying noise, or honk the horn, if the valet goes past the set RPM.

Pass door unlock maybe?
Perhaps - I installed one that looks very similar per some advice I saw here on the forum. No more reaching over to unlock the door for me...
