Top Gear Dec. 2004---Time for 52,630 voices to make themselves heard. A record number of Top Gear readers and viewers took part in their survey this year, queuing up to reveal the realities of living with 142 models of Cars offered by 34 manufactures. Perhaps the identity of the winner will come as a shock; except the fortunate ones who own: the extreme sports S 2000 Car with highly-stressed engine capable of reving to 9,000 rpm tops the tables. Not only for categories such as performance and driving entertainment, but also for it's combination of mechanical reliabilities, acceptable running costs and the courteous and knowledgeable service Honda's dealers provide.

S2000 OVER GT2 not really

 

The problem with this was that the magazine had a fully multi-page article about it and the S was pride of place in several areas and a huge spreadshot of the car.

On the program all they did was have James May say..

"And 1st came Jeremy's favourite, the Honda S2000. meanwhile at the end of the list was the Mercedes M class"

And then they proceeded to beat up Merc whilst not praising the S

 

Interesting.

 

anyone have the top gear video where they reviewed the s2000? i've never actually seen it.

 

iamjosh - there are a few bit torrent type places where it is stored, however the guys in the UK have copies elsewhere for download.
