Default The ultimate "What kind of car is that"?

Last week pulled into Best Buy and parked 2 places down from a Silver S2000. Bought a couple of DVD's and walked out door. Gentlemen about my age only much older was walking slowly in front of me and I passed him. Unlocked car and started getting in when I noticed him heading to the silver S2000. I caught his attention and waved, but he did not pay me much mind so I got in. Glanced over and he was looking at my car with interest so I something like "how or you doing". He walked towards my car with a questioning look on his face. I got out and walked around to the passenger side where he was by now. Then he asked "What kind of car is that?" and I said "You don't recognize it". He walked to the front while studying my car came back around to passenger side and said "no". Then he looked inside and finely asked "is it a S2000?". At least he did not say it was cutie.

I bought mine in in a city where they had the price set at MSRP. The city does not have many of these S2K's at all. I pulled into a gas station and was stopped twice by people asking what kind of car it is. They were surprised that it was a honda. I tell them all the kewl things about it and they are always impressed.

Alright then, look in the mirror, then you can look backward at getting old.

How can a guy that owns a S2 not recognize another one in the parking lot? Also, since he's about your age only much older, that would make you much older as well right?

I had a guy ask me how I liked my Boxster. I told him it wasn't a Boxster, it was a Honda S2000. He started arguing with me and said he knew a Boxster when he saw one. I told him "You're right, I don't know what kind of a car I drive, you stupid s__t!" The guy's cable car obviously doesn't go all the way through to Nob Hill.

What color was Your S2000?
Amazing, someone buying a car, and not knowing what they drive, even after looking at another one.

Does he even know you have to start the car with a Start Button

People are amazing
