Default Ultra rare JDM parts for S2000?

Hey guys,

I know with the internet, today's market is a global. I am able to buy parts from Italian vendors for my Italian vehicles and some are even sold in the states. Anyways, is there any rare JDM part for S2000 you can't get without actually being in Japan? I am asking this since I have a friend stationed near Tokyo for another 8 months that could help me out.

I am not a JDM fan boy at all. I rather spend my money on tires and track fees. I am only asking because I am curious.

I'm sure you can get your hands on just about any part if you have access to the internet and a credit card. I remember seeing this "Rare Parts" thread on Honda-Tech, not sure if this is what you're asking for but check it out. http://honda-tech.com/showthread.php?t=2962400

If it is to help you out shouldn't you be buying JDM parts that you want rather than just rare JDM parts? Or does "help me out" mean find stuff to resell?

Nothing for resell. Just having something special or even a small piece on the car to let me know that it is a unique piece.

Anything rare for a recent production car (S2000), would probably be less desirable then the more common parts. The fact they are no longer produced or were produced for a very short time probably denotes very little interest in them in the first place.
As with every thing this may not be 100% accurate but should be close.

The VGS steering wheel is about the only part. Or if someone wants a nav screen that points the wrong way.

Those ugly 6-spoke wheels(they are not "ultra" rare). If your not talking about OEM parts, there is a crap load. I'm sure some of those smaller Japanese tune shops have parts but no catalogs. You would have to be in their shop to know about the parts.

Two exceptions that I can think of and this is dependent on your interpretation of the word "rare", are the OEM hardtop and the plush interior floor mats. The hardtop is now almost unavailable new, and the mats I haven't seen for sale anywhere in a long time.

Isn't there a set of Spoon ITBs that is ultra rare? Not that it's practical at all to buy them, but it's cool nonetheless.

I what I am looking for are parts that you can't get in the states or online. Parts, OEM or Aftermarket, that you can really only get by being in japan.
