drive it!! That's what its made for. It's more fun to drive after it's been detailed imo. Kinda takes you back to when it was new. Just my two cents.

I went to an s2ki detail day from my local forums and with the help of other forum members got my car nice and shiney. The S isn't my DD, I only live 1.5 miles from work and bike there. I also have a 2k2 Neon for a beater.

Anyway, since I have a shore trip planned in 2.5 weeks, I thought hey. May as well keep some miles off it, keep it looking clean, and use my bike a bit. So I put my covercraft cover on and locked it up.

So that was 3 days ago and now all I want to get is get back in it. I mean I've gone three days before without driving it.. haven't I? I don't know actually...

I never get in it to go no where, but what to do... what to do ><
Can't resist a double dare...

The day was recent, the previous Sunday in fact. Waking up, I knew I had a sense of purpose that day. For I'd planned to join the festivities of an s2ki wash/wax day with the local chapter. The air was brisk, I distinctly remember worrying if the temperature was going to hold out well enough for a comfortable car wash. Soon though, my doubts and worries were taken aback by the parting sun, rising slowly in the east, providing the necessary warmth for this type of event.

When I arrived at the meeting location for the wash and wax, I met some fellow enthusiasts, whom were much more knowledgeable of the topic at hand. Through their guidance, and supplies, I was able to clean my car to a shine the likes of which my vehicle had yet to experience. Needless to say, I was thoroughly impressed by the results and felt gratitude and pride in the job that my fellow s2ki colleagues and I had done.

A pleasureful thought had aroused in my mind though, the second I returned to my abode. I had a trip to the shore coming up in only a couple weeks and my, how pleasant of a trip it would be if I could take my S2000 down looking as great as it did that day!

Then it occurred to me, this gentle dream, this foreboding desire, was well within my grasp. My close proximity to my workplace and other viable means of transportation for the time being would make this very possible. Not only that, but I'd purchased a covercraft car cover I had stored away in a closet! Its light, permeable, yet resilient material would allow the car to breathe easily while maintaining its shine for me! 'How lucky am I?', I thought while locking the custom fitting car cover over my vehicle with the optional coated wire and padlock.

Little did I know, this euphoric string of accomplishments would soon come to a close. For not more than three days later, while sitting at work, I found that absence truly makes the heart grow fonder. I thought my usual pleasantries of a quick, but rewarding drive home in my automobile of choice. That; however, was quickly shattered by the realization that I'd commuted to and would inevitably have to commute from work on my bicycle.

My heart quickly sunk as I realized how even a few days without something I'd grown so accustomed to, had taken so much for granted, could sway me so greatly. With these built up emotions, I could only think of one place I may find someone who could relate to them. I reached out for a sense of comradery, a feeling that I wasn't alone in these emotions in the only place I thought I could.... and the rest is history.
