Underside of the S2000
My dealership allowed me to photograph the underside on their lift prior to taking delivery on the car. The salesman helped me out by holding a light. The depth of field isn't perfect on all of them. I should have used a wider angle lens. They are all on 35mm negative film. I though about converting them to digital photo CD, but just don't have time to do so.
I took over 300 photos of the car to document it because 20-25 years from now folks will be restoring these cars just like I did my '62 FI Corvette 25 years ago. They will be wondering what color is this or that, what did this or that look like, etc., to do a proper restoration. Honda has a tech refresh (something like a restoration)in Japan for the NSX, so the company may have one for the S2000 10 years from now.
If you have a good relationship with your dealer as I do with mine, you might be able to do the same as I did, but use a digital camera.
I was fascinated by the numerous, different color paint (or ink) marks on the chassis. It is part of their quality control. One assembly line worker torques a bolt, and a second comes along to verify that the bolt was torque's correctly, and "inks the bolt" I just don't know if there is any significance to the different color inks used--yellow, orange, blue.
