Unfortunately, I have to sell my 2004 :-(
Cool, glad to hear you get to keep it. I had to sell mine a few months ago and lost big on it. And as for summertime being the time to sell down here, I prefer winter. Summertime in Florida means stepping outside the front door into a sauna. Leather seats and the metal parts of the seatbelts can cause 3rd degree burns (I've got scars!) and forget about the sunshine cause its gonna be raining every day from about 10-11.30 and then again from 2-4.30 ish. In between there it might just get sunny enough to turn all that rain that just fell into another steam bath. Winter on the other hand is great, perfect top down weather! Now that you still have the S you should come out to one of the TBA meets www.tbas2k.com
Glad to hear you are not selling the S.
But just for future reference, it would have been better to trade the S in (assuming the dealer is not trying to totally rip you off at the trade-in) if you were get another car. The reason is you only pay sales tax for the difference between the trade-in and the new car. If your trade-in is worth more, then you don't have to pay sales tax on the new car at all. That's a saving of couple thousands (actual figure depends on new car's value) that you probably cannot make up in a private sale.
